The AcryliCon® (Ireland) Industrial Flooring Systems offer an ideal solution for your floors in the food processing industry, food service and other demanding environments.
In areas where cleanliness matters Acrylicon industrial flooring systems are the cleanest floors you can currently specify. And now, with the addition of Microban technology the floor will remain cleaner between cleanings 24/7 for the life of the floor.
Microban antimicrobial product protection is effective in inhibiting the growth of microbes, such as bacteria and mould that can cause stains, odours and deterioration of the floor.
The active ingredients in Microban protection help to neutralize the ability of microbes to function, grow and reproduce.
Free from heavy metals and chlorine Microban technology works in harmony with your floor and working environment. Microban protection is built-in during the manufacturing process making it a durable part of the product inside and at the surface. When microbes come in contact with the product surface, Microban protection penetrates the cell wall of the microorganism and disrupts cell functions making the microorganism unable to function, grow and reproduce.
The active ingredient in Microban is Triclosan a product that has been used in toiletries and cosmetics such as toothpaste and soaps for over 30 years. Further it has full EEC and FDA food contact approval.
In our floors the Triclosan is incorporated into the product make up during manufacture and so is evenly distributed throughout the system. This built in process means the antimicrobial technology is locked into the floor and by a process similar to osmosis moves intermolecular to always provide active ingredient at the surface of our floor. This does not in anyway affect the technical properties of our standard floor, instead it adds the benefit of antimicrobial efficacy for the natural lifetime of the floor.
Microban will not sanitize your plant and an effective cleaning regime is still required, however, it will help reduce the odour and stain causing bacteria, mould and mildew
Acrylicon flooring systems with Microban protection are fully certified on production and installation and will continue to be tested for efficacy during its life. This is carried out annually by taking a core test, which is sent to an independent lab to be tested. In the core’s place a dated stainless steel ingot is placed to show the floor has been tested.
Why choose AcryliCon® (Ireland) Industrial Flooring with Microban protection?
With regard to due diligence and HASAP controls you are required to use every effort at your disposal to ensure the highest level of cleanliness available to you. Microban is the 21st century addition to the tools at your disposal. To disregard it on the basis of cost would be negligent. If we bought cars this way we would still be driving Model T Fords with no airbags, ABS brakes or crumple zones.
Acrylicon with Microban protection can be used as a selling issue with your clients to show you are investing in the quality of the product you supply. This has been used to great effect by Noons the first customer for Microban floors 10 years ago and one of the first European customers of the whole Microban environment at Southall, London.
No special installation or construction is required for the Acrylicon flooring system with Microban technology. Acrylicon with Microban protection provides an added benefit of peace of mind; simply knowing that your floor is cleaner between cleanings is not something that you can put a price on.
The peace of mind for your staff by providing them a cleaner flooring system.
Successfully pioneered in Norway, the AcryliCon® (Ireland) Industrial Flooring System was first introduced in the 1970’s and soon became a proven flooring system for the food industry with references going back over 25 years. Now with the addition of Microban technology over five years ago we have installations with practical experience of the effect of Microban protection in a working production space. Reductions in microorganisms are a fact not a marketing issue.
